Twin here 🤚🏼 We were separated in first grade as well. This allowed us to develop our own identities. We even had our own separate group of friends. This was hard for us at first, but I don’t regret it at all.

High school teacher here… we have twins who had never been separated one sister failed her math class and the other one purposely failed because she didn’t want to be in a different math level without her sister. They are so dependent on each other it’s not healthy.

I am a twin. My brother and I were also separated in first grade because we were too dependent on each other and not socializing as much with other chikdren in the classroom. I am now a School Psychologist and strongly recommend that twins are separated. They need their own friends and experiences in school. It will not be detrimental to their relationship with each other.

Hey twin mom here. I separated my girls in kindergarten. It’s hard but one will always be in the shadow of the other. Definitely for the best! They need time alone to develop their own personalities! Make their own friends! It’s just us girl they’ll love it and will have more to talk about!!

twin here, people only ever saw us as one "the twins" ... I wasn't allowed a coat I loved coz there wasn't one for my sister. I'm 54 now and still remember it to this day. The twins this, the girls that. let them have their independence.

twin here who didn’t get separated until 3rd grade, PLEASE separate them in 1st grade. We had a hard time developing social skills and making friends because we were reliant on each other (which consequently led to having an individuality complex in later years)
