Persiguiendo a su bruja fugitiva
You know the saying “never read a book by its cover” and “you never know what someone’s going through”. Those both pertain to what may look small from the outside can actually be extremely expansive internally. In the past, I used to be someone who’d fill all my time with being busy. Whether that’s with friends, growing my career, networking, work, crafts, etc. I was too uncomfortable with sitting with the experiences I had. I thought, if I could turn the page distract myself with joy then all is good. Until, when all foundation came crashing down and I was not only grieving the present, but loads of the past. They popped up like impulsive thoughts and wouldn’t go away until I gave them space to be seen and felt. These are moments of expansion. Choose to suppress, continue the loop. Choose to feel and change, you expand. However these expansions are not only uncomfortable, it’s challenging and chaotic. Almost as if all the puzzle pieces jumped out and now it’s time to put them back together. But, not in the way you previously learned or your upbringing but how you want it to be. This is where alchemy comes in. When the emotions feel too chaotic, how do you ground yourself enough to continue moving forward without being held down by the heaviness? Here are my favorite ways to alchemize: - Somatic movement (via dance and yoga) - Art (crafting, photography, diy, painting, ceramics) - Music (singing and producing) - Tea & Journal (sometimes burn the paper afterwards) - Rituals (bath tea, herbs, candles) Reminder ✨ Go at your pace & not the hustle culture we tend to see 🦋
