People that keep talking about insurance like that will just make everything perfect again. When you lose a home like that, there are MANY things that can never be replaced. Handmade items/decorations, memorabilia, personalized renovations...you have so many memories and evidence of love in a house that are now gone forever. Not to mention the fact that the insurance process and establishing a new home will take a very long time. No telling how long you'll be displaced. It is truly an awful, awful situation and I am so sorry for you.

I experienced this with my mom during Hurricane Ian. Never seen anything like it in the 40+ years my mom lived there. I had to react the same way because my mom went mute. So devastating. I am so so sorry.
