I completely agree. They had him on the podcast knowing that she immediately leaves when his name comes up. You never know what would reignite a stalker and she knows that. Having him on that podcast, talking about her, could have a similar effect. You're not being harsh at all. They put her in danger for publicity.

But that's the whole point about mental illness. If you have a mental illness, you CAN NOT control your thoughts and actions because your brain is sick. JodIe & Hinkley are both victims. He couldn't help it, he had no control, he couldn't do anything about it. He's properly medicated now and under medical supervision. I agree the podcasters were were incredibly irresponsible bringing the whole thing to the forefront of his brain. And also his medical team as well for letting him go on the show. Because he is free and roaming around. It's a different story if you're in prison, like Edmund Kemper, being interviewed by FBI agent John E. Douglas. The public is protected for forever from him, Kemper was locked up for the rest of this life.

I had a stalker for two years whom I've never met. He broke into my apartment building twice. For 2 years he was sending me letters, which I've ignored. It's a terrifying thing to go through. I'm not famous, but these famous people getting stalked is just profoundly horrifying! And yes, my stalker went to jail for a year. I was his 2nd victim. So he's been to jail twice.

He should have been supervised after his release, the condition of his release should be he is not allowed to talk about Jodie. Yes he had decades of treatment, but Jodie would have had to have therapy & here he is being allowed to reopen old wounds.

I remember this like it was yesterday. We had stayed at the Washington Hilton on a family vacation a few months prior to this. At the time he was found not guilty by reason of insanity, nobody thought JH Jr. would ever get out of the institution. Im pretty sure he's been out for more than 10 years, supervised by a guardian. (Maybe his Mom?) More recently, he was released from supervision. I wish they'd made it a condition of his release that he can't give interviews. But I guess there's that Freedom of Speech issue. 🤷♀️
