FIRST COLD PLUNGE EVER. 🥶 And apparently I decided easing into new things wasn’t really my style. 😂 Today was officially Day 1 with my Primal Plunge, and I finally got in. Here’s what surprised me most: the cold is obviously a shock, but controlling your breathing and staying calm when every part of your body is telling you to GET OUT is the real challenge. That’s also where this thing is completely different from any cold plunge I’ve seen. That giant touchscreen isn’t just there to look cool. I can choose a guided plunge right on the monitor, and it actually coaches me through the session, including my breathing, timing and what I should be doing while I’m sitting in freezing water. It basically turns the experience into “the Peloton of cold plunges.” And for someone doing this for the first time, having something actually guide me instead of just setting a timer on my phone made a HUGE difference. This is only plunge #1. I’m going to document the entire journey, what gets easier, what doesn’t, how I feel afterward, and whether consistently doing this actually makes a noticeable difference for me.
