Ketua DPR RI Puan Maharani menegaskan DPR terbuka terhadap kritik dan masukan masyarakat untuk memperbaiki kinerja lembaga legislatif. Hal itu disampaikan Puan saat menyampaikan Laporan Kinerja DPR RI Tahun Sidang 2025-2026 dalam Rapat Paripurna Khusus DPR RI yang digelar bertepatan dengan peringatan HUT ke-81 DPR RI, Selasa (1/9) di Kompleks Parlemen, Senayan, Jakarta. Puan mengatakan DPR menyadari masih terdapat banyak ruang untuk berbenah dalam menjalankan fungsi legislasi, anggaran, pengawasan, hingga diplomasi parlemen. “Karena itu, DPR RI terbuka terhadap masukan, kritik, dan berbagai kalangan masyarakat. Kritik tidak semestinya dipandang sebagai jarak antara rakyat dan DPR, melainkan sebagai bagian dari hubungan demokratis yang menjaga DPR RI tetap dekat dengan aspirasi dan kenyataan hidup rakyat,” kata Puan. Ia mengatakan kritik dan masukan masyarakat akan dijadikan sebagai pendorong bagi DPR untuk terus memperbaiki dan mentransformasi diri. “Kami, DPR RI, akan menjadikan setiap kritik dan masukan sebagai pendorong untuk memperbaiki diri dan bertransformasi secara lebih baik dalam memenuhi harapan rakyat,” ujarnya.
