@jennyfromthefizz: Yesterday we lost an extraordinary woman, my great-grandmother, who passed away at the remarkable age of 104. We were blessed to have 5 living generations. Her life spanned more than a century and carried within it a story of incredible strength, resilience, love, and sacrifice. As a child, she survived tuberculosis. During World War II, she endured the unimaginable heartbreak of losing her infant son. Later, she met my great-grandfather, who brought her to the United States, where they built a life together and the rest became our family’s history. It is difficult to put into words what it means to lose someone who has been part of this world for 104 years. She lived through history, experienced tremendous loss, witnessed generations of her family grow, and leaves behind a legacy that will continue through all of us. While our hearts are heavy and we will miss her deeply here on earth, we also know how incredibly blessed we were to have her for so many years. May she finally be reunited with her beloved husband and the son she lost so long ago. I can only imagine the reunion waiting for her. Rest peacefully, Great Grandma.
