Thank you Megan. Seriously. I find it very strange that people defend the behavior of someone taking advantage of grieving people but don’t give any grace for the people who want to call it out. You put it well. It’s odd to condemn criticism with criticism, very hypocritical. At the end of the day she has a MASSIVE platform. Being a marginalized person I really just see it as punching up.

I’ve really been sitting with this and thinking on it a lot, and I also thought about mediums of the past, even my own ancestors.. and honestly anyone who has stood up and spoke out about oppression or injustice. The amount of courage, and bravery that takes, the level of love and passion for things that truly matter.. speaks volumes. That’s integrity, that conviction, and that takes fucking heart! It’s hard watching people fall for her act and knowing real people are getting hurt. The amount of ignorance and denial is mind blowing. 🤯

I know you don't make this post to garner sympathy, but I want to acknowledge how much I admire you & how proud I am to have you as a teacher, and as a voice on platforms speaking out against unethical practices. There has been a HUGE mischaracterization of you over the last few days from people who are totally missing the point and choosing to take things out of context. I can only imagine how that feels for you on such a large scale, when all you are wanting to do is help people. Frankly, the only personal attacks I have seen are from the people speaking out against the "drama" of this whole situation, claiming to be above it all. I value your integrity so much, and I hate to see so much misinformation spread. You are doing good work. You are an inspiring person in so so many ways!! Thank you for being brave enough to use your platform for good, and educating people who are willing to listen. You are making a change. Don’t ever think your words are not being heard. You helped me understand the spirit world when I needed it most. You are making a difference. It reminds me of the story of the child picking up stranded starfish on the beach and throwing them back in the water. Someone tells the child they are wasting their time, they will never make a difference. The child picks up another starfish and throws it back in the water and says it made a difference to that one. It’s unfortunate, sometimes no matter how much we point it out, there are going to be people who the words will never reach. They will never see what is wrong in a situation even when it is directly in front of them, this is in all areas, but it’s harder when are dealing with something intangible. the drive and desire to protect is valid and natural. this is where we have to lead and educate through example, it’s all we can do. I have learned to look at it as a Part of learning to “surrender” not just in mediumship but in the everyday is to recognize the limitations of what is and how far and much I can do to change things, and I realize it begins with us, how we show up and how we lead through example, be the change so to speak, and that ultimately it’s up to others to change their behavior, and some no matter how much we try to educate- point out, it’s falling on deaf ears. All we can do is focus on how we show up, Continue to educate, share and demonstrate what the work is, and we will help those whom we are meant to help, we trust in the intelligence of spirit, I believe what’s done in the dark is always brought to the light eventually. Your heart is big, your love for the work is genuine and it comes from a good place and it shows.
