Why I showed up even when I was running on empty. I’m sure they’ll remember the chaos with a large family. But I also pray they’ll remember that home always felt safe. Maybe they’ll remember me being “a little extra.” But I think they’ll also remember being loved so completely they never once had to wonder. I’m not raising kids who’ll say their mom was perfect.
