@itsladisaa: Oh man.. Hurricane Lala, here we go! Just a few things around the shack we’ve done to prep to give us a bit of ease of mind while the storm rolls through. We also make sure all the animals are properly sheltered and have high grounds to stay dry in. Everyone stay safe this weekend, we’re hoping the storm passes by with ease- the best (and really only) thing to do is to prepare for the worst and pray for an over exaggeration

Another good tip is if you have screens on your house windows to take them down during the storm. If for some reason your window glass break you still have an in tact screen to keep bugs out after the storm. We use to do this when we lived in the Caribbean.

also battery candles are really good, they can give off a lot of light and you don't have to worry about blowing them out! -a floridian
