Other than that, Japan recently commemorated the victims of the atomic bombing and Americans piss me off a lot due to them only seeing one side of a story. Like yes the Imperial Japanese government did a lot of heinous things and it was insane under Tojo, but the Japanese citizens are not theit government. Some of them didn't even speak the same dialect as their Emperor Hirohito. Japan is a beautiful country with thousands of years of history and just because they were closed to the outside world for centuries, doesnt mean that you can put every Japanese person into a monolith. During the edo periods, they were studying the western world and romanticizing it. They were curious too because they're human. Humans have a lot of nuance to them and you can't put strict morality on them because of that. We can recognize the victims of Imperial Japan and the United States. No country is built on peacefulness, even Bhutan. #architecture #losangeles #History #california
