Then you spend the next three years explaining that you could work in your field, you just “chose happiness.” By 27 you’re somehow a hardened survivor of corporate America, college was a scam, capitalism ruined your life, and every election cycle you crawl out from behind a $9 matcha to demand student loan forgiveness for the degree you voluntarily stopped using. Then finance a Subaru, get really into houseplants, and start a podcast about setting boundaries. The traditional path.

If you can make a great living outside of your domain expertise, don’t think for a single second that you’re not “using” your degree. You are who you are because of that education!

Girl I never used mine….not one day😂😂😂. All your folks care about is that you are happy and can make enough cash to keep the lights on and food in the fridge. Anything else is gravy!
