Like to get out of the role play for a second, the automatons and illuminate are genuinely the cooler more valid factions 😭 both want revenge and have totally valid motives for what they’re doing with better ideologies. Same with the bugs in helleivers 1 back when they were sentient but unfortunately they’ve been bred to be more animal now so their motivation is less concentrated and more so just rage and expansion

Yes everyone knows super earth is bad, yes everyone knows super earth caused the conflicts in HD1. It’s very on those nose, the reason you see those larpers is cause SE is the faction you play as in the games, the games passively make you like them and it’s fun to larp a bit, also atp in the story the bots are grinding people into mush and the squids turn people into necromorphs and kids into crushers.
