This is the conversation we actually need to have. I’m a restaurant owner. Look at my real numbers: $2,371 in sales, but only $1,338 payout. Before calling restaurants greedy because of the price you see on a delivery app, ask how much of that money actually reaches the restaurant. And remember—the payout still isn’t profit. We still have food cost, labor, packaging, rent, utilities and every other expense. Let’s talk about THAT.

This restaurant is located in Maryland. Now, the puff puff comes with wings and plantains. So, that seems reasonable compared to everything else. Anyway, I always assumed this was just what they charged us Americans. I never considered that they'd be overcharging their own people, too.
