Absolutely love chestnut trees I’m even growing some myself. Sometimes at this stage you can actually touch the burrs depending on the stage of maturity! When they’re still super bright neon green I find the spikes are more like plasticky bristles, but as it goes more into autumn they dry out into spiky balls of hell 😭
