that's of course absolutely fine. children 100 years ago learned trade from their father and domestic skills from their mother and they all grew up into functioning adults.

Hey! Qualified preschool professor and preschool owner here. What your child did was learned behaviour. Saw you walking, so she did it. Heard you talking, so she picked up on it. In order to learn to read and write it has to be demonstrated and learnt via learnt behaviour. The difference is that education is guided learning, developing is survival learning. Intentional and directive learning are also very different.

Here in Sweden it is illegal to not put your child in a school. You could loose custudy of your child. I'm quite happy with that law, giving every child the right to a proper education

as a teacher if you dont teach her how to read write and do maths then she will be ripped off left, right and centre. if she is great with maths she needs to learn about mathematics ratios.
