The amount of goals he scores when the goal looks like it’ll break is frightening. John Arne riise only stopped playing 3 years ago! He has a career that spans 27 years! Albeit a 6 year gap in there! He signed for Liverpool at the age of 21 making 234 appearances and scoring 21 goals before departing 7 years later to go play for Roma. After a spell in Italy he came back to play for Fulham in 3 years making 87 appearances. He made moved to India to play for Delhi diamonds before then having a go in the danish and Norwegian leagues. In 2023 he came out of retirement playing for Avaldsnes in the Norwegian 4th division. He was managing the woman’s team but came and helped the men’s team and played one game scoring in a 9-2 victory! He was most recently manager of the women’s team Toppserien but he left due to their financial difficulties which resulted in their relegation in the same year.
