Some women have the right to say exactly that!! They are the mother and the father.deadbeat dads choose not to be a father so we have to take on two roles

RE :
you'll never hear fathers say much, most are too busy beating their wives, cheating on them, or just abandoning their families xx

"I'm sick to death of hearing women say, 'I'm the mother and the father'..."Translation: "My ego can’t handle single mothers getting credit for stepping up where men failed." Resenting women for filling a void only highlights the guilt or inadequacy of absent fathers. He's weaponizing bitterness under the guise of "speaking up."

What about the mothers who are in a relationship with the father but does everything for the child and the father doesn’t do anything. It’s a mother doing both roles pretty much a single mother in a relationship with a father who doesn’t do anything.

Coming from first hand experience unfortunately my father did say that to me in those exact words due to horrible circumstances. You are not a therapist or a professional in any field to speak. You’re talking from your experience which does not mean everyone will experience the same too.

That’s because statistically, by a large margin, Mums do end up playing both roles. The statistics are much higher separated but you also see it with married couples where the Mother lives like a “single married woman”. Instead, lecture men who lack on these obligations rather than target Mums who are most likely doing exactly what they say they’re doing!

You’re a spinner 😂😂😂 if the father was present and doing his job you’d never hear a mother saying that. And you don’t hear fathers saying that cause a mother always does her role

Children need both mothers and fathers and so many parents after divorce use the children as weapons very sad

When did it become normal and sociably acceptable to raise kids in a single parent home?

I’ve raised my son alone since he was 4 when his father ran off and left us with nothing!! I’ve raised an incredibly independent resilient young man who’s now 27 and is a youth worker!! Don’t make sweeping assumptions!!

"I've never experienced having a mother..." The ultimate emotional shield card. You explicitly admit you have zero personal reference point for maternal instinct, yet immediately follows it up by lecturing women on what mothers actually do. It's unearned authority masking deep-seated trauma.

"You'll never hear a father say 'I'm the father and the mother'..." translation A classic false equivalence logic trap. Single fathers rarely use that phrase because societal standards already give men a standing ovation just for showing up. You try to frame male silence as "humility" when it’s actually just a lack of shared systemic burden.
