THE AUDIOBOOK WAS BETTER 🎧 episode 2: romantasy/fantasy it only felt right to go to one of my favorite subgenres for episode 2 - romantasy. like i say in this video, the Quicksilver audiobook changed my brain chemistry (i also listened to Lights Out that same month which had the same effect lmao) and i’ve been a die hard audiobook girlie ever since. also, here’s a mini lesson on the types of narration: SOLO - one narrator does all the voices of all characters DUAL - typically for books with dual POV, there is one narrator for each main character. for chapters in the FMCs POV, the female narrator will voice ALL of the voices in that chapter, and then vice versa for the MMCs chapters. DUET - the female narrator voices ALL of the female characters voices, no matter which POV the chapter is in, and the same with the male narrator. this is the most natural sounding narration, in my opinion. it sounds like you’re listening to a normal conversation between 2 distinct people. ***Alchemised & Rose in Chains are both a bit darker (especially Alchemised) so please proceed with caution and check TW if you’re at all worried about that. these are some of my all time favorites but i have plenty more to yap about, so let me know if you want a part 2! p.s. i meant to post this on sunday, but here we are on tuesday. sorry for the delay 🤣 #favoriteaudiobooks #audiobookrecs #audiobooktok #bestaudiobooks #romantasyaudiobook
