Hibiscus tea may have some health benefits for women, but it isn’t proven to balance or regulate female hormones. What we know: 🌺 May help lower blood pressure and has antioxidant properties. Menopause symptoms: There isn't strong evidence that hibiscus tea meaningfully increases estrogen or reduces hot flashes. Periods/PMS: Some people find herbal teas soothing, but hibiscus hasn't been well established as a treatment for PMS or irregular periods. Hormone balance: It shouldn't be considered a source of estrogen or a treatment for low/high estrogen. If you're asking because of menopause, perimenopause, irregular periods, PMS, or low estrogen, tell me which one and I can explain which teas and foods actually have evidence behind them.

If you mean the hibiscus tea you made from the recipe above, storage depends on whether it's brewed or still dry. 🍵 If it's already brewed Refrigerator: Best option. Keep it in a clean, covered glass bottle or pitcher. Shelf life: About 3–4 days refrigerated. Counter: Don't leave it out for more than about 2 hours (less if the room is very warm). If it develops an unusual smell, taste, cloudiness, bubbles, or mold, throw it out. 🌺 If you mean the dry ingredients Your dried hibiscus, cinnamon sticks, cloves, and bay leaves can stay in the pantry/counter area as long as they're: Completely dry In an airtight container Away from sunlight, heat, and moisture You don't need to refrigerate the dry herbs. For your particular recipe, I'd actually recommend making a smaller batch (2–4 cups) so you're always drinking it fresh rather than keeping 6–8 cups for several days.
