as a friend who loves taking picture and document everytime, i wonder paano kaya sa future wala ako palagi sa frame ng mga larawan na kuha ko. Forever a girl na laging sinasabihan “beb pa send nung mga pics at vids ha” kaya sa twing may myday sila wala ako palagi don.

“Who do you think took the pictures?” That is such a powerful line, because you took all those beautiful pictures on those beautiful memories, but no one remembers to take a picture of you and your child together without asking them to, no candid pictures to capture the moment,, 🥲 but I hope when daughter grows up, she remember me behind the beautiful pictures.

what I liked about this movie are the subtle confrontations. usually, they’re shown through shouting, dire-diretsong lines but in real life, it doesn’t usually happen that way. the restraint in Jodi’s acting, the harshness in Agot’s voice, that’s a typical Filipino family 🥹

Bitter lang siguro ako? Selfish? Hindi kase madaling magpatawad ng ganyan. Iniwan ka, ni lift mo sarili mo, tapos babalik na parang walang nangyare. Gusto nya sya parin ang tama. Acceptable daw ang reasons niya kase; "siya yun eh", "ganun talaga siya". How about sa part ni Joanne(Jodi)? After niyang "mag chase" ng dreams niya or hanapin ang sarili sa ibang bansa, uuwi siya tapos magpapaalaga? Pero as a decent person, wla kang choice kundi tanggapin at alagaan. Unfair.

maganda sana to kung maayos yung kwento. ang daming kulang na explanation. as much as i want to understand paz at ma awa sa kaniya diko magawa hahaha. siguro kung na explain lang yung situation nya ng buo at maayos baka magets ko sya kasi wdym iniwan mo anak mo for 27yrs without any explanation tapos babalik ka dahil mamamatay kana? kapal namn ng muka mo hahaha. i love jodi, sobrang galing nya pero kulang na kulang yung galit niya para dun sa 27yrs na yon. nakakainis din sa part na pilit sinasabi ni paz na "I've never told you to take care of me" like wtf? bakit ka uuwi ? for what? ayaw mo rin pala na gamutin ka pero umuwi ka for what? magaling sya mang gaslight.

Healing is learning to walk toward peace without waiting for an apology, an explanation, or the closure someone else was supposed to give you. Ang ganda ng Movie kase nasa POV tayo ni Jo. We don't know anything about her mom, no excuses, no apology. But will you choose peace or you will be hunted by anger just to hear the "Sorry" from them?
