I’ve learned so much from Gen Z, especially from my younger siblings. And as a kuya, I don’t want to control them or make them feel like my generation is superior. I blend in with them and try to understand them, just as I understand the people they’re becoming. Sometimes, letting a seed grow without constantly touching it allows it to grow faster and healthier.

I tried consulting with my thesis prof once about revisions sa paper, kasi every time na mag papacheck may pinapabago and lima silang nag checheck tapos 'di sila magkasundo sa template. Sabi ko baka pwedeng isang paper na lang ibigay na paikutin sa lima para makita din nila yung gusto ng ibang panelist. Magkano din kasi ang isang manuscript, were students lang and mahirap humagilap ng pera. And sabi lang ng prof ko "Ay ganon talaga, tiisin nyo na lang. Ako nga e, mas malaki pa ginastos ko before". especially in work ethics, like why would you expect us to work in an fast-pacing tiresome job with low basic salary? it lose our motivation to strive, specially we lived in a very expensive generation. Salary not matching the needs to live, and them oldies mad for us calling out toxic employment behavior.
