i wonder if, in a way, this is another form of eugenics? seeing as people who have disabilities, or the elderly are essentially nonexistent, as they are being locked out. it just feels super dystopian and like an attempt to create a "normal" society with "normal" people 😕

Im east asian with really thick monolids. Without makeup and me not putting in effort to open my eyes stupid wide, most ai systems recognize my face as having my eyes closed. I normally cannot go thru face id check areas because of this and its been annoying because it also just feels like racism? Eugenics?? After hearing that ai is going to be implemented into cars to detect when ur too sleepy etc i realized oh wow i cant own a new car because its going to think my eyes are just permanently closed

same happen to the elderly. Their faces change, they get fatter cheeks, eyes change with strokes etc …. Also their finger prints sometimes disappear. Been dealing with hell with my elder parent trying to recover bank account and social security id cos it needs fácil recognition and it denies her old face :(

My dad and best friend have severe stutters. The amount of things that they can't access because AI voice assistants refuse to acknowledge their speech is DISGUSTING.

Not the same thing at all but I lost 40 lbs and instagram won’t let me change my profile photo because I no longer look like my drivers license bcuz apparently I have to scan that for fucking social media. 😭
