women and poc will ALWAYS be the center of survival horror and horror in general. The title of "scream queen" and "final girl" was literally born out of how the horror genre is made up of predominantly women, and while yes men can and have taken part of the trope of survival horror--the prescene of final girls and birth of scream queens and scream kings is because of women and the roles which they were given. Most of which explored vulnerability and the range of emotions which a person can truly display and go through.
