For all the people are the more newer Baki fans such as finding it through Netflix do yourself the favor and read all the way back to the 90s manga and even this early 2000’s anime. You see the ENTIRE development of Baki. He started off bubbly and optimistic almost like Goku. Then after losing his mother in this early 2000’s anime his personality grew dark, depressed, and driven by vengeance and a broken heart. By the time we see Baki in even the first Netflix anime this is a Baki that is fully matured. He sees the light again and isn’t drowning in darkness but is driven to defeat his father and live on with his life despite it all. It’s quite amazing. If you can’t find the episodes online you can buy the DVD sets one Amazon or eBay. Called “Baki the grappler” 2 seasons I think. Netflix anime is great to cover the later 2010’s mangas to current but if you call yourself a baki fan give yourself the treat of enjoying the full history
