And mono takes longer to bring the fish in, braid is stronger, more sensitive, smaller diameter, and casts farther, totally agree w you on this one! Braid is awesome

It really depends on what your fishing for and where. Like for me ill run braid for trout or bass but salmon? Only mono. More abrasion resistance stretches when they whip their head around which reduces the chance of the hook tearing through their lip and braid is significantly weaker at the knot while mono is just slightly weaker at the knot. also split shot weights weaken braided line
