I love my full-time job, I’m a mom, and I’m putting the final touches on my long hair journey app, @lengths_app , launching late August/early September. 🤍 So while the videos might be simple, I try to add value into my captions. I genuinely want to share what I’ve learned about growing and maintaining long hair. I get asked how I did it everyday. So I put it all in one place, Lengths. Long hair isn’t about expensive products. It’s not one miracle product. And it doesn’t need to be complicated. You can do the least and still achieve long hair as long as you’re consistent with small habits that help you retain your length. On average, hair grows about 6 inches per year. The question is: how much of those 6 inches are you actually keeping? I’m not going to share miracle rinses or tell you something will magically “speed up” your hair growth. Faster long hair isn’t about making your hair grow faster, it’s about keeping more of the hair you already grow. Scalp oiling can have its place, and some types of hair loss may benefit from certain scalp treatments. But if you’re dealing with hair loss, finding the root cause matters to find the right treatment. And if you’re not dealing with hair loss or a scalp issue, you don’t need to complicate your routine just because social media tells you that you need to oil your scalp.
