Aly :
people did bath in the Regency era, they had spongebaths quite often, and bodysmell wasnt what we think, people had cloth sewed into the dress to absorb any sweat and debris, so the smell was masked quite well, they used perfume and jewelry with it in it, they also had satchels, and the smell wouldnt be the same, food intake l9oked different, they didnt eat as many chemicals or intense seasonings as we do now, and those affect body odor. the climate was also very different so people weren't always sweating like we do today, thus the reason they could dress they way they did. people cleaned there home s very often as well, so chamber pots were cleaned often and streets as well, and for things like chamber pots houses had a cupboard for it, or a specific place to mask any smells. old food was also used for compost. people have alot of misconceptions about victorian era, Regency era amd the Roccoco era, people weren't always as dirty as people think, historians often mention this too. these things just often require further research.
