Azerbaijan The Mini Guide - our first country of 2026 🫶🏻 Azerbaijan was one of those places that completely surprised me. One moment you’re surrounded by ultra-modern architecture and luxury malls, the next you’re standing in ancient streets or watching fire rise straight from the earth. Baku, especially, feels multidimensional in the best way layered with history, culture, nature and an understated elegance! Here’s my mini guide ⬇️ Month visited - January Day 1 Checked into our home for the stay @fairmontbaku ▪️ Little Venice - super cute, calm and honestly such a nice way to start the trip. ▪️ Highland Park - unreal views over the city and the sea ▪️ Martyrs Lane — for the history and the Mosque of the Martyrs! ▪️ Firuze Restaurant — ended the day at this amazing restaurant, super traditional, beautifully decorated and such a good intro to Azerbaijani food. Day 2 ▪️ Day trip to Candy Cane Mountain - 1.5 hours from Baku, looks insane in person, the colours are unreal and so worth the drive. ▪️ Yanardag - natural fire that has been coming straight out of the ground for thousands of years without stopping! ▪️ Bibi Heybat Mosque at night - one of the most beautiful mosques in Azerbaijan! Day 3 ▪️ Heydar Aliyev Center - the architecture alone makes this a must, every angle hits. ▪️ Old Town (Icherisheher) - make sure to check out Juma Mosque, the iconic Maiden Tower, Palace of the Shirvanshahs and Gosha Gala Gapisi. ▪️ Port Baku Mall — a little luxury shopping break and a very nice reset after a long day ▪️Manzara Baku for some fine dining! Day 4 ▪️ Baku Book Centre - the place that made me want to settle down in Baku lol And off to the airport! Tips: Getting around - Bolt works really well in Baku + hired a car for the day trip Language - very few speak English here so keep Google translate handy. Cash vs card - cards are widely accepted, but it’s good to have a little cash for smaller spots. Water - Tap water is not recommended for drinking; stick to bottled water. (Will share individual detailed posts soon!) 📍 @experienceazerbaijan 👗 @jjshouseofficial - use my code RI120225 💞 #azerbaijan #baku #muslimtravel #travelguide #halaltravel
