I’m pretty sure it’s normal to focus on the theme of a movie, it’s all about removal of autonomy as a result of greed so ofc people are gonna focus on that

I think it’s right to freak out on how she’s losing her will to control her body. There IS a scene where it shows. The whole movie isn’t about it sure but it’s one of the core parts that make this movie such a serious and intense movie and it’s one of the highlighted moments people focus on because again its something that shouldn’t be taken lightly. The whole movie revolves around Nikki losing her ability to control her body and act completely out of character because Bear was selfish and completely disregarded how he KNEW she felt.

You’re free to your opinion but I disagree. But taking a movie Thats very obvious message is about losing your autonomy, specifically women and making insensitive jokes with it is odd to say the least. I’m not saying you have to be constantly serious in regards to it but people making it a joke IS that serious. A movie can be entertaining or “crack a few jokes” and still tell a very meaningful important lesson.
