@jeremyjudkins2: The truth about Tesla Cybertruck depreciation. This is positive news for all Cybertruck owners. They actually hold their value well. #carnewstiktokcontest
What it’s worth today: couple paperclips, a hair tie, some keys without matching locks, and a screwdriver.

A cyber truck($100k) is about a $35,000 difference from a model Y($65k)… the subscription is $99 a month for 12 months that’s $1200 a year. It’ll take 29 years to pay that $35,000 difference. Way before then the battery of your Tesla truck won’t be worth a damn so are you really saving money by keeping that truck?

Don’t count on owning it forever. One update and you’ll get the notification that you now have to subscribe too

My 2019 Tesla model x has free supercharging and I’m keeping it until it dies. It’s paid off and I’m saving at least $450 a month avoiding CA gas prices.

that is such a scam to have to pay for a subscription for self driving.

that's a trade in value specifically from Tesla based on the envelope you pulled it from, and 10,000 to 1 odds that number only comes in if you buy a new car from them.
that's not what your car is actually worth.

if you actually own it, you could use it in other teslas, so you only “own” the capability in your cybertruck, once your cybertruck stops working (or tesla finds a loophole), no more FSD for you

Your chain to that vehicle because you overpaid way too much. And now it has depreciated way faster than it maybe should have. It would be a huge financial loss to trade that in because the dealership you’d probably be lucky to get 50 or 60 out of that.

If you do the math $8,000 to own fsd, compare to $99/month subscription. You have to own the vehicle at least 80 months (6 and half year) to break even that $8K and start enjoying free fsd after 80 months. How many more free months you’re gonna keep the car? Wait it’s not a car, it’s an old computer
