@samiraamin22: Talking to senior leaders can feel intimidating — but confidence isn’t about having zero nerves. It’s about knowing how to manage them. 3 things that will help you speak with senior leaders with more confidence: 1️⃣ Manage your nerves. Take a breath, slow down, and remind yourself: you belong in the room. 2️⃣ Have conversation starters ready. Don’t rely on “winging it.” Have 2–3 thoughtful questions or topics prepared. 3️⃣ Know your business. Be clear on your numbers, priorities, challenges, and what you’re asking for. Confidence comes from preparation. You don’t need to be the most senior person in the room to have a valuable voice. You just need to be prepared to use it. #WomenInLeadership #CareerGrowth #careertiktok #Leadership #corporatetiktok

Good stuff. I think the other side of this is just as important. Executives and leaders should also make the person speaking to them feel as comfortable as possible. I’ve always tried to do that with anyone I’m speaking with, regardless of their position. It goes both ways.

I always think before any meeting or talking to a boss of my boss “they’re just human same as me”, I always invite in my head they’re not in the pedestal. I don’t out them in pedestal in my head - I talk how I talk to people in my level; naturally, concise and clear.

I don't understand high level dialogue. It seriously confuses me. I'm manger and sme... I understand the tasks and projects, I just don't know how to convey it into high level. it's frustrating.

and that's the key. remove the title. if you have an opportunity to be in front of them, that's because they want to listen to you. they want to learn from you. they're eager to hear your thoughts and opinions and solutions. they want to know what role the obstacles they should remove for you so you can do your job better. I loved going into senior meetings because it gives me a chance to really tell him what's going on and what can be improved, etc. there's no reason to be nervous. you already have the job now. just be casual. be respectful and speak high level
