I love her character. But she deserves a better friend. She was - in her way - a real friend to Rory and there are lots of times where Rory was kinda "Lane is my great super friend and Paris is so annoying". I dont say that Rory is always a bad friend to her but she could have been better. Oftenly she not tried hard enough to understand Paris.
