Francis has a masters degree and went to a prestige perfumery school… he is an actual “nose” in the industry not just a brand, he’s one of the very few luxury perfumers that I believe is correctly priced. Other brands just own rights to their perfumes, he actually creates his in a lab, you do not do that Daniel, you tell a perfumer what scents you want and THEY create it for you.

If you like something and can afford it, then get it. Stop belittling people for what they like, their beliefs, and/or what they can afford or choose to buy. What is wrong with you people? Most perfume houses keep their exact formulas hidden as trade secrets instead of filing for patents. A unique scent can occasionally be registered as a non-traditional trademark like the scent of Play-Doh only if it serves purely as a brand identifier and has no functional purpose meaning you cannot trademark a perfume because its function is to smell good.

No fragrance should be $250 TBH anything over $250 even for a Niche Fragrance is overpriced compared to the cost to make it and overhead. Fragrances on average should be sitting between $40-$100.

honestly if these luxury brands would just price their colognes and perfumes at a cost that makes sense, more people would buy them, people wouldn't go for dupes, but $500 for a fragrance that only cost them around $10 to 20 make... absolutely not. you're just buying a status, I'd rather buy a dupe that gets pretty close for a cost that makes sense.

I have a strong creed collection of colognes, but I’m thoroughly disappointed with the brand. I was under the impression that expensive cologne last a long time I was wrong. give me the dupes. For the price, the dupes are way better than the originals.
