Scoville scale only determines the heat from capsaicin. it doesnt take into affect modifiers to your taste buds like garlic, horseradish, and DEMON BILE like whats in Da Bomb lmao

The creator of Da Bomb have said the sause never meant to be slather on wings, they intend for drop or two for a pot of chili to add some spice to it.

I appreciate that Sean bites the bullet day after day and refuses to let that sauce retire because he knows it's a staple of the show and what the fans wanna see

people don't honestly complain about Da Bomb for its heat, it's that it has no other redeeming quality. it's vile and only heat. the others at least taste good, they build to a heat. da bomb is just nasty

Scoville scale only measures 1 ingredient (capsaicin) - but when you mix other things in there, that capsaicin can hit a lot harder.

The reason Da Bomb is worse than the hotter sauces is because there's so much extract in it just tastes bitter and thanks to the extract being so thick and oily, it basically sticks to your tongue like tar, making the burning sensation feel more pronounced.

saw a bottle of da bomb at world market and decided that we would just try a dab of it on our fingers in the parking lot for fun. unlike most hot sauces that have some flavor, it tastes SO bad. it’s just straight chemicals mixed to cause you pain.

The fact that they purposefully make it not taste good, needs to be taken off the table.

My friend LOVES insane spice and he said the bomb isn’t necessarily the hottest but that it’s straight up disgusting. Like he was gagging not from heat but just disgust

I heard that it is not supposed to be used as a sauce, but more like an additive.

Da Bomb is disgusting on top of being incredibly spicy. It’s more of a chemical burn and your body immediately rejects it, making it a much more uncomfortable experience overall. While the Last Dab is technically much hotter, it’s freakin delicious before it punches you in the face

The actual reason why the Scoville scale on hot sauces is BS is it's because it's actually based on the pepper they put in the sauce, not the sauce itself. Like sure if I put one billion Scoville chili into what's otherwise mayonnaise, it'll be hot, but not actually a billion Scoville hot.

I bought a bottle of Da Bomb in a small shop in 1998, decades before Hot Ones, and it lasted me 20 years.

Howtown tested them and it is objectively hotter and they use a marketing nonsense scale for scoville based on nothing, the last dab is less hot than Da Bomb and has been for a decade

I think Da Bomb is there to remind people how they USED to do quality hot sauce; just putting in concentrated extract. Because today they use the natural peppers in those sauce which gives it more depth.
