When do we get to actually enjoy our hair?😩 always two strand twist or some protective style. I currently have two strand twist in, but all the time people say leave your hair alone but geez what’s the point of growing healthy hair to hardly ever be able to wear it out

Been there & done that.. I now do monthly trims (a trim & not a cut) to keep myself in check of where my damage is focused. And do a cut every 8-10 weeks. I also started doing a weekly split end search (I spend an hour and find all split ends and trim with a GOOD scissor). Also, found a temperature (320-360°F) without breaking off. Finding products that work well with my hair was also a game changer (mostly moisture focused and olaplex on the regular.
