I might be crazy, but I thought that when we saw Gwen’s Peter in her into, he looked like Peter B Parker, so when she says ‘I’ve been there’ in regards to Peter B seeing Miles’ universe’s MJ, she’s talking about how looking at him reminds her of her dead friend, and by the time of the second movie (when Gwen’s backstory is shown in more detail) we see a remodel of Gwen’s Peter to show that she doesn’t see Peter B as her Peter anymore

Oh it must have a RUINED HER to see an adult version of her DEAD best friend— she probably couldn’t stop thinking about how that’s how he should’ve ended up and wondering what could have been in her universe if she wasn’t bitten but instead Peter was. Imagine her going to different universes and seeing HIM over and over again. Every time I can only imagine it’s like seeing a memory that’s so close yet so far from her reach. She can have infinite peters but she can never get HER Peter back.
