I would like more commentary on the type of emotional relief and joy that the Little Death slasher scene depicts. Specifically that for trans people, marginalized people who people root for their undoing and eradication that we are seeing some tiny bit of revenge on screen which is also completely heartbreaking.

It’s a beautifully-shot film. I also thought it wanted to pull emotion out through atmosphere and visuals while also saying don’t intellectualize it but the whole film IS intellectualizing it. I didn’t feel the two connected well with each other. Seems as though I’m in the minority in that opinion. 🤷🏻♂️
