I’m a 90s kid and we definitely had birthday parties every year but they were not huge productions. Homemade sheet cake, go to the park or roller rink. I also had an Easter basket but it was a few things of candy!

I thought having a birthday party was pretty standard lol. i grew up dirty poor but my parents still let me invite friends over for cake and pizza and gifts. played some games. some years i could have 3 or 4 people sleep over for the same stuff
