I remember watching it when I was younger, and even now, it carries a feeling that very few movies can recreate. On the surface, it’s a coming-of-age story about four childhood friends who go on a journey together, but at its heart, it’s really about friendship, growing up, and the people who become a part of who we are. The ending has always stayed with me because it captures something so true: the friends you meet when you’re young, when life is simpler and everything feels new, can never truly be replaced by the people you meet later in life. You may make incredible friends as you grow older, but your day ones will always be your day ones. They were there before the responsibilities, before adulthood, before life became complicated. And honestly, I think being able to keep those friends as you grow older is one of the biggest blessings God can give you.
