Collegeboard is something we literally use near daily. I think you mean “why don’t parents make their kids use these at home?”

It's literally just Khan Academy + College board. There are other math prep services such as 1600.io though

The funny thing is that you can still get into college without taking any of those tests 😆

My daughters boyfriend got the same score, here’s how he did it; at a young age his parents provided him tutors, he was put in G/T (gifted and talented students) in middle schools so by the time he high school he was already 2 classes above his peers. He was also placed in AP classes. Before his junior year he took the SATs and scored really high. Sophomore year he was already in college level English and Calculus while his peers were doing Geometry and HS English Comp. By the time he took the SATs he already learned all that was in the test while others had not taken those courses yet. The key is tutors and being placed in higher level courses early on.

This is great if you are fantastic at memorization. For everyone else it could take months of studying to learn, process and remember all of this.

Because it isn’t taught. Pretty simple but I’m not being flippant, schools have other priorities. Ask yourself what those are. Personal finance would be another.

You have to pay for these classes unfortunately, they never just teach you the SAT skills. I was getting ok scores, then my parents paid for a course and then I did great. Had to go to a class outside of school

Did a little research. “No, all higher education institutions do not require the SAT. While many selective colleges have reinstated testing mandates, over 2,000 institutions remain test-optional or test-free (test-blind), meaning you can apply and get accepted without submitting SAT or ACT scores.”

I took the SAT back in 2012. Got selected to attend a SAT course for free and increased my score by like 400 points from 1550 to ~1900. Only studied problem types and the wording.
