@socialsscap: Need healthcare but don't want full-time hours? Here are the 3 of the best part time jobs for great benefits: 1️⃣ Big corporations - Think Costco, Starbucks, UPS. 2️⃣ Universities - Many offer coverage for part-time faculty or staff. 3️⃣ Government jobs - Local and state roles sometimes offer benefits at 20 hrs/week. Work less. Get covered. Stay smart. #YourMoneyGuideOnTheSide #TylerGardner #healthcaretips #parttimejobs #retirementplanning

I’m a retired teacher. There is not one part time job college or k-12 that would offer you health care.

UPS? For retired person? Stop it. Drive the truck? After years of loading, then low seniority gets you on call and then the least desirable routes. Like multiple apartment complexes. Thats for a young person, and a great opportunity.

Ya. Just what a 62 year old retired person wants to do drive big trucks and carry 50 lbs packages. 📦

UPS isn’t a duck walk. I’ve done it in my 50s and I’m shape. They call their workers “industrial athletes” for a reason. Get ready to work hard. That said I loved it.

I don't know about other higher Ed places but I work in a university library. We do not have part time positions. When we have had temps we had to keep them under 29 hours in a week so they wouldn't qualify for health insurance. I would love to retire early and work part time at another library with health benefits.

In PA, I have only seen building subs who work full-time are offered insurance. Even long-term subs in most public schools will not receive benefits.
