@purplejourneyai: Prince apparently revisited “She’s Always in My Hair” around August 15, 1984, attempting a new recording before ultimately returning to the earlier version fans know today. That choice says a lot about Prince, the Purple Rain era, the Minneapolis Sound, his perfectionism in the studio, and the strength of the original She’s Always in My Hair recording. Sometimes even Prince knew the first instinct was the right one.
