@dr.jennale: Replying to @fae adding cardio is good for overall health. It just requires more energy. Having phases where you’re at maintenance could help with that!
That makes perfect sense! Thank you for the advice, I think I will try it when I take maintenance breaks ❤️they happen naturally when I travel or during the holidays. I'll make it a priority to find time to start jogging then, I feel like my heart needs it and I've been craving it since I figured out I can sprint momentarily now without feeling like I'll disintegrate 🙂↕️Gotta also do my research on mitochondria actually! Tysm for the reply

Yes! There are emerging coaching who are not recommending Cardio only on building or maintenance phase and removing it in deficit which makes sense. Also Zone 2 cardio during Maintance or offseason improves VO2max like you said which helps with faster recovery between sets meaning you get to lift more … super cool

i was in an ~1200 deficit doing 1hr cardio 4x a week and was stuck in my lifts, and when i reduced to 15min 4x a week I've gone to like ~750 deficit and started progressing on my lifts immediately after months of stalling
