This dress is gorgeous! The whole “it needs to be floor length” is bs for tall girls (I’m 5’10 so know this struggle well). It clearly has the intention to be floor length so is totally fine, I wouldn’t worry about altering it to make it floor length like ppl are suggesting unless it really means a lot to you, but I truly don’t think its necessary and will likely be expensive. Chances are 1) nobody will be looking at your feet and 2) there will almost certainly be guests who are actually underdressed rather than just wearing a perfectly appropriate dress with an ever so slightly short hem. At the last formal wedding I went to there was someone in jeans and multiple people in very short dresses, and still nobody cared because we weren’t there for the clothes we were there for the couple getting married.

The dress is totally fine for black tie optional. As someone who is 5’11” and struggles with short lengths lol try it on with heels and the hem will be probably just blend in. Just assume that everyone in these comments saying it isn’t have never been to a black tie optional wedding or event.
