I would have fired that doctor, how rude. I’m on a microdose for food noise, such a game changer. Glps arent just for weight loss, my motivation and adhd and inflammation have improved so much. Obviously do your own research

Doctors need to stop being afraid to have honest conversations with patients. If your bloodwork, A1C, inflammation markers, cholesterol, and BP are all normal, why immediately put a young, otherwise healthy woman on weight-loss medication? I say this from experience working with doctors who prescribed it constantly to women in their early 20s. I saw girls develop worse body dysmorphia and come back devastated when they couldn’t afford it or gained weight after stopping. If I were the physician, I’d start with nutrition, exercise, and sustainable lifestyle changes when appropriate. Watching your energy, confidence, strength, and body change through healthy habits can have a much more positive impact long-term.

It was hard for me to get approved for one even tho I have high cholesterol high blood pressure and a thyroid issue I had to go to a nutritionist first and try that then they finally gave me one

It does help with inflammation but does cause constipation but I was overweight. I’m down 35 lbs and maintaining 135. I’m afraid I’ll gain if I get off of it but if you don’t need a glp1 I wouldn’t take it. I feel I’m dependent on it now and it’s expensive

I’m on linzess as well and a glp causes constipation for a lot of people. Did she mention anything about not being able to take it especially if you have preexisting gut issues?
