@deepzensecrets: Some parts of me are invisible to almost everyone. Not because I’m hiding them, but because not everyone stays long enough to notice. People often see the version of me that keeps going. The one who functions, laughs, gets things done and somehow finds her way through. What they don’t see are the conversations I replay in my head days later. The songs that say exactly what I’m feeling when I can’t explain it myself. The moments when I disappear into nature because the world has become too loud. Or how much it takes for me to finally let someone go. I’ve learned that letting go doesn’t mean I stopped caring. Forgiving doesn’t mean forgetting. And being strong doesn’t mean nothing hurts me anymore. Sometimes strength is simply choosing not to lose myself while trying to hold on to someone else. Maybe not everyone will ever know all these parts of me. That’s okay. The right people won’t just notice the person I show the world. They’ll take the time to understand the person underneath it.
