We're currently vending at the event, when we asked how many tickets had sold, we got a response about 5 hours later saying 400 people on site. We saw a max of 30 non vendors yesterday. There's about 36 vendors here, we paid £100 plus each, and tickets for the weekend were around £160. The footfall stall ratio is not balanced. The amount we all paid has NOT gone into any kind of advertising and marketing whatsoever. Now you have mentioned people smoking, I'm worried for all of our safety...we will not be coming back and discourage anyone else thinking of vending here

Technically they breached their 'terms' first by breaking fire safety laws for their event. Not providing a safe event etc. Also their terms are legally enforceable, it would be a civil matter and they'd have to prove that they have damages. If they try to say it's defamatory? Good luck for that too lmao. They've certainly damaged their own reputation though!

I organise and attend trade shows frequently with work. Out of interest, did you have to provide risk assessments, public liability and employee liability insurance? If not, that's a sure sign that this is a Mickey Mouse operation.

being in the events business myself I've noticed a shocking amount of people taking legal action when there is no justification for it I have been on the tail end of this and it is bullying and harassing but I do not feel I have a platform to speak about my terrible experiences

That’s ridiculous. You were not obliged to stay. There was no one there. Was it well advertised? I can’t stand bullies too. Their fault if they didn’t provide the rules beforehand. Unorganised like their fire safety.

if no fire fighting is avialable on site insurance is invalide and yes this must be on the saftey checks and risk assesment
