It’s that they want you to speak Spanish. Which I understand due to the area. But there is so many translation services that can be used.

It’s almost impossible to find a job in the valley at a living wage unless your business owner. And even that is hard!

If you want a good job in the valley most of the time it comes down to who you know. So many people go into trade schools and still can’t get work. Sadly it’s about networking or starting at places friends and family can get you in

I worked for an enrolled agent for 2 months because I realized he wasn't going to pay me better than the call centers I left to finish my degree in accounting. Bert Ogden and Payne didn't pay much better. I'm at a medical clinic now, and the pay isn't any better either.

it's the lack of investment into the employee that's hurting the job market here. The business owners are greedy and or uneducated on that part to where they don't understand that the more you pay someone and the more you keep their moral up the better someone will work for you.

I make more doing remote work rather than working within the local economy. worked as an emt and start was at 15, the paramedics were barely making near 20, the way to make money there was killing yourself and working as many hours as you could to hit that overtime pay.

A yr ago I was looking for a job and the local offices wanted to pay under a living wage and yet expect you to be beyond grateful for the opportunity. Not considering that the cost of living has increased significantly and even car maintenance is expensive. You can’t expect loyalty by paying employees the bare minimum. You get what you pay for.

First job: I was getting pay $8 per hour and I only lasted 3 weeks. Second job: I was getting pay $9.50 when I first started then it increased to 15 cents so I was stuck with $9.65 which my paycheck was between $500-700 depending on the sales and this was at McDonald’s where I worked a year. Now, I’m unemployed for a year now and trying to find a job on what I graduated from college in 2024, is useless here

the thing about businesses and agents down here is they’re still starting out and so they need good workers but have no leadership or drive for their own company.

956 business owners "cant find ppl who want to work" cause NOONE CAN SURVIVE ON ANYTHING BELOW $15/ HR. Fed min wage hasnt gone up since the early 2000s and to put it plainly our local politicians could give af 🫠 hell Vicente Gonzalez supported a bill to increase ICE funds. they literally go against their own ppl. valley residents need to stop being complacent and start getting mad
