Honestly I hated the whole room inspection thing for those of us who were clean. Like I understand checking rooms for those who are notorious for being nasty in several ways, but those of us who are clean literally all of the time or at least most of the time. Like I feel like the barracks rooms should be treated like an apartment: if you ain't got complaints for being dirty then your room don't need to be checked.

my major issue with room inspection was always that I only got to spend maybe 3 days a month in my Barracks room because of training and deployment schedule. one day getting ready for the room with nco's up my backside every 5 minutes, one day getting the room inspected, and then one day standing there getting yelled at because of all the rooms that failed inspection (which usually belonged to all of the s-shop people that didn't go on FTX and training support operations). then I'm back out in the field for another 27 to 30 days

I checked into my 1st command on room inspection Friday and had to hel the 2nd class who was conducting room inspections. I have seen some shit there is a reason everyone gets inspected

Last room inspection I did before I retired made me question how some people are even alive still. Probably wouldn’t even be able to breathe if you had to actively think about it.
